Duality of christ

For this project, I was asked to create a pair of cuffs expressing the duality of Christ for Talita Prada’s senior (BFA) fashion (SCAD) concept. I designed two pieces to function as elegant armor, merging strength and fragility in a single gesture. Strips of ancient bronze, shaped to evoke nails, span across the hand and connect to a delicate brass cuff and ring. This contrast between rough, raw materials and refined craftsmanship reflects the tension between suffering and grace—an interpretation of Jesus’s simultaneous vulnerability and divinity. The result is a set of cuffs that are both protective and poetic, embodying the complex duality at the heart of the concept.
