Temporary Traditionals

For this project, we were challenged to design a piece that would resonate with a millennial audience. I chose to explore the cultural significance of tattoos—transforming classic traditional tattoo motifs into temporary, wearable art that can be worn in place of, or alongside, ink on the skin. Hand-fabricated from sterling silver and ancient bronze, the piece reimagines body art as jewelry, bridging permanence and impermanence while celebrating the visual language of tattoo culture.
