emerald cut Basket Setting Ring

During my studies at SCAD, I completed an advanced fabrication course in which I hand-fabricated a basket setting for an emerald-cut stone from scratch. The process was highly technical and pushed me to approach jewelry from an architectural perspective. Before this, my work was driven more by organic and artistic intuition, but this experience introduced a deeper appreciation for precision, structure, and craftsmanship. The piece was fabricated entirely by hand using recycled metal, melted down and rolled into sheet, reinforcing both technical discipline and material awareness.
