Princess cut bezel bow Ring
This project was completed during my advanced fabrication studies at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where we were tasked with designing and hand-fabricating a ring with a bezel setting for a princess cut stone. I drew inspiration from the name itself, creating a bold silver bow reminiscent of one a princess might wear on the back of a gown.
The process challenged me to approach jewelry more technically and mathematically, focusing on how the architecture of the metal supports and presents the stone. This was a very delicate and highly intentional method of working, and it expanded my appreciation for precision while still allowing for expressive design.
